The Work-In-Progress.

Untitled;
14x24 Digital Inkjet Print
On Hahnamuel PhotoRag

this is a frame from my latest body of work which really doesn't have a title yet. i wanted to do a piece on the deterioration of youth in america; how the time one spends in 'childhood' is decreasing at a rapid rate and kids these days really don't have time to be, well, kids. it is my belief that our [meaning my] generation, was the last one that was able to have the perks of a fully drawn out childhood. one without cell phones, and the hills, and paris hilton. we were free to have fun instead of have sex, or rather, worry about having sex. this collection of art will focus on that idea by presenting the rubbery awkwardness of one of america's iconic children's toys as a symbol of whimsical beauty and impossible standards.
